Alpha Iota is a chapter full of opportunity and moving forward. The active chapter has many proposals for house additions and renovations but needs assistance with funds.
As a fraternity, we believe a huge part of donating is seeing where your money is going. So, our executive council and several different committees have put together and displayed different options so YOU can choose where your donation money is going. Listed below are plans for making the Alpha Iota house a more interactive and wholesome experience for our active brothers and visitors.

Donor Recognition

When offering to donate to a specific project or graciously donating to the chapter as a whole, you could be eligible for a customized engraved brick. The granite brick will be engraved, with specific information regarding the donator (alumni, parents, etc.). All of the bricks will be lined up neatly in front of our house, facing the main road to remind everyone that these are the people who helped contribute and make the chapter into what it is today. Listed below are our two brick options and their respective requirements:

**Pictured in this photo is an example of what the granite brick will look like. The description of the donor’s engraved brick is below**

  • Renovating our Party Barn

    Renovating our Party Barn

Renovating our party barn is one of our more expensive projects thus far due to the amount of detail we would like to put into our barn for the future. For starters, we would like to replace our garage door with a brand new garage door. The current door is damaged with holes, scratches, and torn pieces. Next, we would like to incorporate an HVAC system so the barn can be a more socially acceptable area to gather in, without being too hot or cold. With an HVAC system, we would have to implement a new form of insulation so we can maintain steady temperatures without exercising our power bill. Other additions such as a new bar and touching up some of the damaged pieces of wall will make the barn more appealing to guests, too. The barn is where much of brother’s time is spent because it is a reliable place for a tailgate, party, or even brotherly activities.

As shown in the picture above, the barn is lined with many different flags from all over the nation. Every brother that is apart of our chapter is represented with their hometown flag to show that this chapter is inclusive to brothers from all over the country. Pi Kapp has brothers from all over the United States and these flags show how we can all come together and form a brotherly bond no matter where we are from.

  • Steamboat Willy

    Steamboat Willy

The chapter is asking for funds to help purchase our very own 11-foot taxidermy alligator. Steamboat Willy is an icon for our active brothers through multiple different reasons. One reason in particular is for our annual Bayou party. The party is based off of a jungle type theme that has been a well known chapter tradition for decades and a taxidermy alligator will definitely contribute to the occasion. Our active brothers are very excited to announce Steamboat Willy as one of our top donation goals. We have reserved a spot in the house for where we will mount our alligator and have already named the gator “Steamboat Willy”.
